Measuring your wrist for a clasp bracelet. This would be a fairly snug fit, if you want a looser fit, loosen the tape to the desired size/feel.

Measuring for a bangle bracelet. Measure the widest part around the hand and thumb

Circumference is the outside measurement, and Diameter is the inside measurement.
